Get to know Porto
It’s called the ‘unofficial capital’ of Portugal, situated on the mouth of the river Ebro in the Atlantic, North West of the Iberian Peninsula. This is an extraordinary place from which to start your adventure as it immediately offers some wonderful scenery right on your doorstep. Porto’s heritage has been well-preserved and offers a vast selection of historical sights while also having all the perks of a modern trendy city. We recommend you to take a stroll through the city and along the river, passing Porto’s grand bridges. Pop into a bar and try regional delicacy ‘Bacalao a la Gómez de Sá washed down with a glass of delicious Oporto.
