Get to know Munich
Munich is the third largest city in Germany but because of its economic, cultural and logistical scale, it’s also known as “a town of a million inhabitants”. This is thanks to its cosy atmosphere and friendly small town feel. At sunrise, tables become crowded in the streets and everything starts to bloom. Marienplatz is the heart of the city and overflows with life from all corners. The Englischer Garten (The English Garden) is open to both inhabitants and tourists, and offers 4 square kilometres of absolute splendidness. Bavaria province of which Munich is the capital has a saying which is ‘live and let live’. Come and experience it for yourself.
Activities in Munich
· The world famous Oktoberfest is something not to be missed. You’ll clunk your glasses together in cheers to celebrate with hundreds of people, singing Ein Prosit! Nothing compares with this and you’ll get to try many different beers and taste some wonderful food. Although the festival is in October, don’t be shy to come and try the beer all year round.
· The district of Schwabing, which brings geniuses such as Kandinsky, Münter, Marc, Thomas Mann and Bertolt Brecht, has an air of pure art about it today, and is fascinating walk around.
· If you are a fan of surfing, you can practice it very well in the Eisbach and Flosslände channels (of the river Isar), or on the Ammersee, Starnberg or Chiemsee lakes.
· On top of everything Munich also borders with Austria, and Switzerland and Italy are very nearby too.
Where to Rent a camper
At Hanggtime we adapt to your needs so that you can take it easy and not worry about a thing. If you arrive by train, plane or bus, we can wait for you at the station with your van ready to drive. We will also wait for you wherever is convenient when it’s time for you to return your camper.
If you come by car or motorbike, we’ll meet you in the area you feel is best to drop off the van, and in the meantime we can also store your own vehicle in a safe place while you travel. If you have any questions or special requirements, don’t hesitate to contact us and we’ll personally answer all queries.
You can contact Hanggtime with any question that arises, not only about your camper, but also privileged info about the place you are visiting and any queries you have. The vans will be given to you with full water and petrol tanks, and of course, they’ll be technical checked for you to enjoy the best conditions.
The camping equipment includes two chairs, a table and a complete crockery set with plates and cutlery for an additional cost. Also we provide travel beds. The only thing missing is a bit of good humour and the enthusiasm for an adventure, pyjamas, a sleeping bag and a pillow. On your return you only need to give back the camper in a good condition and we’ll take care of the final cleaning.
For van rentals of a week, you can pick up the t3 or t5 camper on Saturday from 10am and drop it off the following Friday before 2pm. These times are fixed and must be adhered to. Every half an hour after these times will be charged at 20 €.
