Get to know Faro
Anyone who wishes to visit Portugal would be really missing out of they didn’t take a trip to the marvellous South coast, which stretches from the boarder of Huelva in Spain to El Cabo de San Vincente in Portugal, (just on the inside corner of the Iberian Peninsula). This coast passes through Tavira, Albufeira, Portimao, Lagos, Sagres and of course Faro. The capital of the Algave has a very strong touristic appeal and receives a huge amount of visitors (both new and repeating), travelling through its airport every year. Thanks to its unmatchable qualities such as its climate, gastronomy and very own beaches, Faro just never fails.
Activities in Faro
• Eat out very cheaply tasting tipical dishes such as “El Arroz de Lingueirao, La Carne de Cerdo con Almejas, El Jurel Alimos and El Dulce Don Rodrigo.
• The Natural Park of La Ria Formosa, chosen as one of the 7 natural wonders of Portugal, is impressive. This area houses 20,000 water birds during the winter alone.
• The beaches and the coves of the Portuguese coast are some of the best that you could try in your life especially Marinha, Glae, Dona Ana, Benagil, Amado, Tavira…
• And if you also want to visit the south of Spain… great! Because you have Seville for example only 200 kilometres away.
